RSS Feeds not working with proxy server

Had the same issue and discovered through much pain that the issue was our proxy exception list. Apparently the Feeds application didn't like our 192.168.* exclusion. I confirmed with IBM that the trailing * is not supported in the proxy exception list. Once removed, the Feeds application worked fine.
